How private school is different from JCPS
Four things to know before you start: private campuses in Louisville sit outside the JCPS assignment and magnet system.
These schools are not part of JCPS.
They do not use School Finder or the JCPS magnet application window.
- No JCPS School Finder — your address does not assign you to a private school.
- No November JCPS magnet window.
- Each school has its own application and calendar.
- JCPS transportation generally does not apply.
Tuition is set by the school; ask about parish rates, aid, and scholarships.
