How families get in

There are two entry paths. The correct path depends on whether Indian Trail is the resides school for your address.

  • Run School Finder and note whether Indian Trail is your resides school.
  • If it is your resides school, register. Kindergarten students and students new to JCPS still complete district registration.
  • If it is not your resides school, apply for MicroSociety only if the current Choices Guide lists your zone as eligible.
  • The guide last described eligibility for the Seneca, Southern and Moore zones. Confirm the current list.
  • Ask how many of the 81 listed magnet or program seats are in your child’s grade.

2027–28 application window

  • November 2, 2026 through December 18, 2026
  • These dates apply to the published JCPS application window.

Resides students use the regular elementary transportation system. Out-of-zone magnet-program students were on the 2024 transportation cut list unless Indian Trail was their resides school. Confirm current bus eligibility with JCPS. A program seat is not a bus guarantee.
