International Baccalaureate

Atherton High School is the only JCPS high school offering the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme.

Atherton uses an IB-aligned approach in grades 9–10 and the IB Diploma Programme in grades 11–12. Students who do not reside in Atherton's boundary apply specifically to the Atherton IB option. Atherton is also one of the 15 Academies of Louisville schools.
