Iroquois is a Beechmont / Iroquois Park Academies of Louisville high school. It is not one of the eight districtwide magnet high schools. If School Finder assigns your address here, that is the resides school. A family already in Iroquois's network can apply as an in-network Academies choice; a family outside that network uses the JCPS transfer process. Iroquois opened in 1965 at 4615 Taylor Boulevard and is home of the Raiders. It is a resides high school and an Academies of Louisville campus, not a districtwide magnet. JCPS currently labels it an Enhanced Support Zone school.

Every Academies student starts in Freshman Academy. Upperclassmen move into Builder's Apprenticeship, Create, or Human Services. Use the current JCPS pathway guide rather than older About-page language, and remember pathway seats are not automatic.

Two paths. Path A: School Finder says Iroquois is the resides high school — register. Path B: you live in the same network and want Iroquois instead of your assigned school — apply as an in-network Academies request. Out-of-network is a transfer, not a magnet.

  • Run School Finder. Write down the resides high school and the network.
  • If Iroquois is the resides school, register. New-to-JCPS families still complete district registration.
  • If it is in-network but not resides, apply as an Academies request — not as you would for Manual or Central.
  • Tour the shop or the academy — not only the main office.
  • Watch the response deadline if a seat is offered.

Buses follow the resides rule

  • Resides students at Iroquois are in the regular high-school transportation system.
  • An in-network Academies seat does not automatically get a magnet bus. Confirm 2026–27 on the Transportation Verification form.
