High school career academies — Academies of Louisville
Fifteen resides high schools use the career-academy model, starting with a Freshman Academy before students enter a career-themed academy.
These 15 resides high schools use the career-academy model. Ninth graders begin in a Freshman Academy, then enter a career-themed academy. No application is required if the campus is the student's resides school. An application is required to attend a different Academies school in the same network.
Industry areas across the system include agriculture, arts and media, business, culinary and hospitality, education, engineering / STEM / manufacturing, law and public service, JROTC, health science, information technology, and skilled trades.
